Siphon Project – Notice of Weekend Work

Please be advised that the Siphon Project’s contractor will be working in the vicinity of 79th Street and Shore Road on Saturday, June 18th (from approximately 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).  The work will involve continuation of activities related to installation of new water mains.

The basketball courts at 79th Street will be closed during the next few weeks and will be fully restored upon completion.

Solar Plane Flyover

Notification issued 6/6/2016 at 4:15 PM. A solar powered plane is scheduled to conduct a flyover across various parts of NYC tomorrow morning, 6/7, from approximately 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM. The aircraft will enter NYC near the Verrazano Bridge and travel northbound to the Statue of Liberty before turning east to travel over JFK Airport.
